This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.
In my last few posts, I've said that I've been on a weight loss journey for about a month now. Right now, I am on a low sodium diet but I also eat a lot of protein daily as well. For exercise, I am running in the morning and then doing 30 minutes of cardio/dance at night. As of today, I have lost 6.2 pounds. I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but for all the changes I made, I am pretty proud.
I think the only downside of dieting is all the food you miss. I'm a foodie and I am totally driven by food so I miss being able to just eat what I crave. But I'm now learning that there's a lot of ways around that!
Something I haven't had in years is pizza. I think it's been about 3 years since I was able to sink my teeth into a pizza because of the salt content of them. But there is a new way I have found to actually make a high protein pizza that is keto and low sodium friendly!
Instead of using dough, you will use chicken to make your crust!
Low Sodium Keto Chicken Crust Pizza
Ingredients
1 pound of ground chicken
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Black pepper to taste
Sauce ( I use Gefen No Salt Added Pasta Salt)
Toppings of your choice ( I use fresh Parmesan cheese and parsley)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine first five ingredients in a mixing bowl. Place "dough" onto pizza pan and roll out evenly. Bake for about 20 minutes. Then put your sauce and toppings on and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes.
How to Save Money on Your Groceries
If you live near an Albertsons, from 4/16 - 4/22 they are having a great deal. If you buy $100 in Visa gift cards, you'll get $10 off! That is a really easy way to get a little extra money for your groceries. Buy $100 in Visa gift cards for $90 and then use the Visa gift cards for your groceries. You'll get an extra $10 you didn't have for some more food. And that would help to make this recipe even cheaper to make too!
